Cloth Arch

This colorful Arch is made with Cloth and Crystals. We can use this as a Door Decor or as a Wall Decor in Pooja Mandir. You can make it with any color clothes as u like.

Lets Begin the tutorial,,,,,,

Step: 1

These are the items we need
- 4 color clothes [Cream,Red,Green,Yellow]
- Flowers: 18
- Gold color balls: 60
- Pearls
- Thread or Wire & needle
- Scissors
- Gold ribbon
- Candle
- Card

Step: 2

Take one card and draw a shape like this,with the dimensions of length - 2.5 inches, width - 1 inch. Cut it along the shape.

Step: 3

Fold the cloth into layers and place the safety pins, so that the cloth layers will not move. Place the card on the cloth and Draw the shapes. Do the same thing on all color clothes.

Step: 4

Cut the cloth along the shape.Make these shapes for all the other clothes also.If u don't want to draw the shapes on the cloth, U can just hold the card on the cloth tightly and cut the cloth from the edges of the card.

Step: 5

For each piece run through the candle light in all the sides, so that threads will not come out from the cloth. U have to be very patient at this point. If u do this in hurry, cloth will turn into black.

Step: 6

Take the Gold color ribbon and cut it into 5 inch pieces. Fold it like a Bow as shown in the pictures.

Step: 7

Take one cloth piece and fold the two sides to the center as shown in the pictures.

Step: 8

Take one cloth piece fold it as shown in step 7 and tie this tightly at one end of the thread.

Step: 9

                                                  Start threading the folded Ribbon and Cloth pieces onto the string using a needle.
Place the Ribbon and cloth pieces as shown in the above picture, so that the petals spread equally in all the directions.
Make sure the folded part of the cloth pieces is always on the top.

Step: 10

Place one pearl after threading 4 or 5 cloth pieces and then continue again.

Step: 11

Bring them to the bottom till where we tied one piece at the beginning.Don't press too much.Repeat the process.

To make the garland, place the cloth pieces in the following order.

"2 gold - 15 green - 2 gold - 15 yellow - 2 gold - 15 red - 2 gold - 15 red - 2 gold - 15 yellow - 2 gold - 15 green - 2 gold.

After this, start threading cream pieces. After every 25 cream pieces place 1 gold, 1 green, 1 red, 1 yellow. And repeat the process with cream pieces."

Step: 12

 

Make 2 small garlands like first picture for hanging on both sides.
Make 1 big garland like second picture for the center part.
U can adjust the sizes as required.
The big one can be separately used as a Maala for any God photo.

Step: 13 

By using Crystals and gold color balls, make 3 hangings and tie them together. Make another one similarly. Tie each one of them to the side parts.

Step: 14

Make the hook like this by using pearls as shown in the images.
The hangings are needed at the 2 sides for the center part and the top of both side parts.

Step: 15

This is how the final product looks. You can customize it as per your requirements.
